Whatcha doin this weekend?
I think usually there are support boats that toss you water or something. I am a decent swimmer endurance wise (not speed wise) but swimming gets too boring for me at that distance.
This weekend I am going out to meet up with the Masters club around here to get a little bit of instruction on how to swim faster because my 100 splits are shamefull
MidEast Regional championship ...
I'm in taper so it is an easy weekend.
Getting the bike back from the LBS tonight - its final tuneup before IMWI. Will do a short 3 hour ride on Sat. with a transition run. Same on Sunday, but only a 2 hour ride. Then log in an see how Tribro and the rest are doing at IMC!!!

Picked up my number yesterday and the goody bags aren't all that great. They just don't stuff em like they used to.
You'd think Nike would throw in a pair of shoes or something! Baby blue tech shirts though.
Out of town today or I'd give you my number to say hi.

I have been doing a few of the NYRR events this year so I can qualify for the NYC marathon next year. I have noticed the events are well run, but the schwag and the post race goodies are kinda on the lean side.
They do have a huge amount of participants so maybe that is the reason.
I'll PM you with my contact info if you want to get in touch :D

Getting ready for the Redman IM in Oklahoma City. This week starts my last build to my longest swim ride and run before taper time.
I'm excited about the race. Obviously it's not a Hawaii qualifier. But hey, I can't finish in 9 1/2 hours to qualify for Hawaii and these types of races only have 250-300 people and cost half as much. I really like the atmosphere of the smaller events. And my wife likes the look of the bank account better.
Best of luck to everyone racing this weekend. Go get'em!!
Adventure Triathlon saturday, racing on a chain i just fixed this week.
Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.
Signing up for IMC!! :D
Driving to Penticton Sunday morning, hopefully getting there just as the pros are finishing, then standing in line all night for next year.
Gettin' excited for it now!

I'm so jealous about the NYRR races that you guys were talking about. I used to do those every week when I lived in Manhattan. It's what I miss most about NY after moving to FL. Hope you guys have/had fun.

Having some fun at the MidEast Regional Championship.

I'm trying something new this weekend. I'm doing a 5K open water swim event. Masters Swimming doesn't allow wetsuits and I'm not sure about hydration on the course, so this should be interesting.
What are you up to this weekend?
