I've got some biking cut out for the next few months...
That's so cool. Good Luck with your new job. :)

You could be busy at around3-4 a.m when all the bars close and frat parties are over. Good luck, have fun, and be carefull.

First of all, are you going to use S-bend aero bars? Second, how many intervals do you think you can fit per fare? Lastly, do pedicabs use 650 or 700 size wheels?
You'll have to attach a wing to the pedicab to go with your aero helmet
use pedal cages so you can turn it into a brick every flag and make the best out of it. :D
Sweet. there's a guy here in Bend that does that as well. Very cool and you'll get strong cranking some big gears. :)
I think I might be your first customer just to piss you off! You should bring your pedicab to the ride on sunday...

Train as you race and race as you train.
Bring the pedicab on your next tri.
A couple guys at my bike shop do pedicab and have a great time doing it. Please let us know how it goes.
I have now worked two shifts with the pedicab. After the shifts I then get back on my commuter bike (which in itself is a fairly bulky mountain bike) and proceed to fly home because it is so much lighter. I've had a couple people who were druunk enough that I could barely understand what they were saying to me; it's a wonder I got them to the correct destination. However it's proving to be a pretty worthwhile experience, not to mention the fact that I will soon be able to own the hills when I'm out on training rides/races, I don't care how small the sorority girls are, when they are full of beer and can't tell you where they need to go you are in for a workout :D
On a side note, a gentleman last night suggested I get a motor to help me go up the hills... I think he kind of missed the whole emissions reduction crusade thing...

I decided to find secondary employment because I was a little bored a few weeks ago when I came across an article in UNC's newspaper about a new company in Chapel Hill called Greenway Pedicabs. So I inquired as to whether they were hiring and here I am, a bike taxicab driver.
It's an interesting setup with a bike attached to a rickshaw that comfortably holds two people (okay, maybe three small sorority girls). I think the bike alone is 160 pounds. But if you've been to Chapel Hill you know it ain't flat around here so I will be getting some good strength training.
More importantly it's a great opportunity to participate in an activity that promotes emission reduction. So if you are ever in Chapel Hill, make sure to call a pedicab!
