Powder in the shoes - no socks - hopefully you have tried running sockless before.

Thanks! I'll bring a towel and put some powder in them. The people at the running store told me to just suck it up and quit whining. Between the three pieces of advice, I think I'll be ok.

I might suggest some lamisil powder, will help prevent some athlete's foot.
Athelete's foot. . . yummmmmy!!:D
Woooh! That was a fun event. The water was warm and calm and kicked my ass. I was a bit disoriented coming into the transition. I couldn't balance to get my shoes on! Then the stomach cramp came. Do NOT eat one of those Snickers Marathon bars before an event. Even 45 minute is not enough time to digest that. Lessons learned. I have one more dip'n'dash on Wednesday before my first tri ever next Sunday. Yeehaw!

Tell me more about the Dip n Dash...I'll be on travel in Denver next week. Where is it? Who puts in on? $$?
This was the last event in Boulder for the year. There is one in Avon (about 1:30 drive from Denver) next Wednesday, 6pm, for $15. Wetsuits required, available to rent on site. Other than that, there aren't any short events during the week.
There's a sprint on Saturday, 8/12, in Highlands Ranch (link) and a HIM on Sunday, 8/13, in Boulder (link). That's what's going on this week.
I'll be heading up to Vail on Tuesday and sticking around for the event on Wednesday. I'd be happy to show you around if you can make it up there. Safe travels!

Sorry for the last minute question!
I have a dip'n'dash tonight, mainly to get some open water experience, and I don't want to look like a complete jerkoff in the transition area. I've found all sorts of good info on the normal tri transitions, but nothing on the swim to run transition involved in a dip'n'dash.
How do I get my wet feet into my running shoes? Towel? Gold Bond in the shoes? Bodyglide on the feet before the swim? I'm very lost here and, unfortunately, need a very quick reply.
