New 625X - they need to give examples! help.
A friend of mine posted a review of the watch here: http://www.zdap.com/racereports/viewtopic.php?t=4581&highlight=polar+625x
He's got a PhD, so I imagine he's capable of answering questions you might have ;), (although it shouldn't take a PhD to use the watch) he's certainly a helpful guy and would be willing to elaborate on it.

Yeah - I agree. I was just looking for some better examples. They don't do a good job of saying " OK we are going to do yada yada and this is how you would set it up in the watch. And if you do, pushing the start button will do this..." It is just overwhelming to get started and I just want to get started now without fumbling around too much.
Thanks for the lead though...other input greatly appreciated.

Tell me what you want to do and i can help. The watch is way to complicated to just give a general list.
In order to start recording work out info including heart rate, run speed, altimeter in an interval work out (say exercise E1) what do you need to do in order for it to record data? I keep trying to get into record mode from Time of Day but I must be doing something wrong. Also, if you have 5 different exercise workouts, how do you choose which one you want to do?
I have figured out how to set up an exercise (choosing limiters, setting times for warm up, interval, recovery and cool down). Choosing the exercise to use and to record data is my next obstacle.
Is there any one feature you have found helpful in your training that you might clue my into? Thanks for the hand.

Just got my 625X and I am trying to set up some exercise sets and such. It is going to be a really cool tool for training if I can just figure it out.
The instruction book sucks for examples. I don't know about everyone else but it is very confusing to navigate and understand for a first time Polar user.
Anybody know of a 3rd party How To guide? Or can anybody offer any assistance. Thank you!
