I just finished my second tri this weekend, and am doing decently on the bike and well on the run. Which brings me to the swim...granted, I've only been training twice a week for a couple of months, but I am wayyyyyy slow.

My DH did this tri with me on Saturday, and he was in the wave behind me so got to watch us purple-swim-caps enter the water. He told me later that he thought I had the best form of anyone in my group (we are studying the Total Immersion book and DVD), but somehow I just wasn't moving forward. Hmmm. Propulsion appears to be the problem. Any tips? I would really like to not be one of the slowest swimmers out there.

Swim more. Twice a week is not enough. Min. should be 3 and 4 is better. That way you can work sets on form, speed, endurance etc.

Get one private lesson from a swim coach. Thats all he/she will need to see and offer you tips and drills to make your stroke more efficient. If you are in the Raleigh, NC area I would be glad to help.:)
