How many bike do YOU have and when do you use them, if at all?

I have four bikes and am looking at a 5th. The 5th is a track bike. We have a velodrome here and it would be cool to go on it, also the fixed gear bike helps w cadence. The four are:
1) mtn bike (use w kids for trail rides);
2) old 1980s Bianchi, used w paniers for groceries etc.;
3) commuter, upgraded 2004 Trek 1000 w ultergra and aerobars. Used for work commuting 365;
4) race bike Trek 2200 upgraded to a tri bike w zipp 404s for tri races only.

In the family we have a total of ten; family of four hehe :D

How 'bout yu? :cool:

I've got:
1) Trek Equinox tri bike
2) old (pre- pacific buyout) GT XCR full sus MTB
3) hardtail MTB I assembled myself (sub 21lbs! for under $1200!!)

I am planning on adding a road bike to this stable sometime in the next couple years.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

Hmmm... two that work. One more is a parts bike, the fourth is a commuter bike in mid-repair.

So I guess I have 4. My wife has two. That makes six bikes in our garage. But I am looking to upgrade my tri-bike to a Cervelo or something.

Y'all suck!!!!:D

I just have one for now- a Trek 4500 MTB that I have bastardized by placing slicks and a straight fork on until I can get a road bike.

I want a road bike soooooo bad.. but alas, I am a poor grad student. Yesterday, I went to the bike shop to "visit" with my dream ride. Once I can save the $$$ I'll probably go with a Trek 1500 to get started, which is a nice bike, but my dream bike is this sexy, carbon fiber frame, full Ultegra components.... She makes me weak in the knees!!!

2 today, 3 tomorrow

* Bridgestone MB-3 - 2,000 miles as a mtb, Coverted to an single-front-chainring all-rounder. Used as a grocery-getter, brewpub hopper, and little-kid-Burley-puller.

* Bridgestone RB-2 - Steel is reel. My road + tri bike. Once I can pass some ultra-serious bastard on their $5K carbon, I'll upgrade. Soaks up the bumps nice.

1st Bike - Trek 6500 MTB
2nd Bike - Litespeed Ultimate w/Campy Record
3rd Bike - Cannondale Jekyll 2000

I'm currently looking at a good used Ti hardtail frame to replace the 6500. The Trek was my first bike, and I upgraded EVERYTHING to XTR spec+. All those nice parts are hanging off a pretty basic frame, so time to swap it out.

I'm debating an SS MTB, Cross Bike, or Tri bike next.
