Winner of the TdF will be . . .
Salvodelli
Garzelli
Landis
Of those left in this tour I think these guys will be the on the podium.
George Hincappie
Cadel Eveans - Go Aussie!
Speed Kills. Strength Punishes
cant say he will definately win, but I am pulling for Levi leipheimer big time GO LEVI
but I wont be disappointed if Hincapie or Landis pull it out either
I think Basso would have taken the final GC jersey without breaking a sweat had he not been a doper !
by the way...anyone know when Tyler Hamilton's suspension is over??
hasnt it been over a year already?

Tyler was due to come back this fall I believe. That was the end of his suspension. Unfortunatley he's been implicated in this latest Spanish fiasco so I think he may be done for good now.
Too bloody early to pick a winer,I feel! Look at the GC...52 guys are under a minute back of Boonen. better idea after the mountains when Boonen loses the jersey to someone else alot smaller!
Myself...This year I think it's going to be a frame pump fight all the way to the end.

I agree with that. Everyone seems to think without some of the big names (almost all of them after Valverde) from last year the race won't be as exciting. I think it's going to be better. Personally I'd love to see Hincapie or Julich pull it out. But I think the most likely American is Landis, he's really coming on strong this season and has a monster of a team backing him up.

Who do you think the winner of the Tour will be? My pick Valverde, broke his collar bone, so I don't know who's going to win. I think Discovery is going to be very dangerous and has a very good chance of winning (but I'm not sure who it will be). With Hincapie, Acevedo, Popovich, and Salbodelli they can send multiple attacks and they will all have to be covered by the rest of the teams (kind of like what Telekom tried to do last year, but didn't really do, because every knew Ullrich was the guy ultimately). With Discovery I don't think their are egos big enough to cause major problems like with what Telekom had. This could be very exhausting to the rest of the teams, and Discovery will be able to keep sending up attacks until one of them sticks and then support that guy (this is my guess how Bruneill will play it). I see the rest of the favorite as most of the remaining top 10 from last year (think about where Rasmussen would have been if he hadn't had all those problems on the final time trial, I would pick him to win but I'm not sure his will have him race for yellow, which is suggested by his number: 58, instead of 51). A dark horse who you never know about is Andres Kloden.
6. Levi Leipheimer (USA), Gerolsteiner, 11:21
7. Mickael Rasmussen (Dk), Rabobank, 11:33
8. Cadel Evans (Aus), Davitamon-Lotto, 11:55
9. Floyd Landis (USA), Phonak, 12:44
That was my answer to my very simple question: Who will win the 2006 Tour de France (simple answers also accepted :D
