Why is it?
Oh man, Skeats, I'm sorry that happened to you... :( Are you getting any treatment for it? Can you still bike and/or swim? Maybe you can hook up as part of a team for your Oly... Or maybe you still have a shot at it...How was your base when the injury happened?
My base was good. I had just done an olympic the week before. I'm just laying off of the running and doing the swim and bike part... and keeping my fingers crossed.
If I can't run by next week, I'll have to try to defer until next year since they don't give refunds.
Why does the toast fall butter side down?
Why do you get pulled over by the police when you are late for a halloween party and you are dressed in a leather mini skirt, fishnets, and heels??:D
At least you have the option to defer.
Heal, and get back into training. Move on to the next event.
Nothing to it, but to do it
I have a less than 50% ratio for signups to finishes. Entry is needed so far ahead of time that I you have to assume that you can't make all of them.

Why is it that the day after I plunk down $100 to sign up for a an olympic length tri, I pull a calf muscle?
Why is it that I ALWAYS injure myself when I'm at the maximum distance from my house? (In this case it was about 3 miles from home.) It never happens just as you step out the door or just as you get home.
It's been about 10 days and I still can't run. The race is about 3 weeks away. I'm BUMMING.
Thanks for letting me whine.
