This is my third year to do this one, so obviously I have high regards for it. Jack Weiss, the race director puts on good events; end of story. But, the event was well managed. The security in the transition area was strictly enforced. The referee was highly visible and there were penalties issued. The course is a dream..flat..wind one direction...tail wind the other. It crosses two bridges and you get lake view 4 times on the out and back bike course. The run course is spectator friendly and ample aid stations are available. There are not a lot of frills...though pizza was delivered post race...but the mechanics were sound in my view. And, I would rather feel safe on the course than have a large goody bag and be thrown to the wolves on the course.
