Is this OK?

Just curious if riding on clipless pedals with regular running shoes/"normal everyday shoes" is ok for the pedal. I use my bike as a commuter bike to and from school, and it's not convenient to bring road shoes just to ride a few miles.

Not gonna hurt the pedal. What kind of pedal is it? If its an SPD pedal, you cna buy platforms that clip into the pedal for a better surface to push on. The larger road specific pedals are a lot easier to push than the smaller SPDs.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I don't imagine it would hurt the pedal, but it seems 100% counterproductive to ride clipless pedals w/running shoes.
