recovery drink?
After your workout, you should use a recovery drink within the first 30 minutes. i've been using Hammer Recoverite...has all the goodies in it, plus bec its liquid, it enters your system quickly.

buy a big can of instant breakfast powder or slim fast powder. mucho cheaper than all the other fancy overpriced products. or try adding five spoonfuls of table sugar to 8 oz of milk. that has a good blend of carbs and protein and is unbeatable in price... of course these options don't work well in a race, but i was assuming meant after workouts.
If you want to save $ - Carnation Instant breakfast - tastes great
If you want something a little more expensive - Endurox R4 - tastes gross.
I use both, and I have to say, I use R4 after all of my serious workouts despite its gross taste. Why do I use it despite the fact that I hate the way it tastes you ask? Because it works very well.
If you wish to be out front, then act as if you were behind.

Good old chocolate milk works...
I like Ultragen after a really hard workout.
Just got the recovery drink from Infinit - haven't had an opportunity to try it out yet.

My wife makes Endurox taste good. She adds Soy Silk Milk, 2 ctn of low fat yogurt, a dash of vanilla, whatever and however many fruit might be available, a dash of Splenda ? and mixes vigorously in the blender with 8 ice cubes...good stuff I'm telling you !! And, I am still recovering even at at 62..
