Anyone had anything like this?
It isn't a sensation that I hear, rather it is a "feeling" that the connection between my shoe/clete/pedal will click or lightly pop on occasion..

It just started on a 25 mile ride yesterday and I haven't really had any chance to look at any of the components (except that the pedal appears to be functioning properly..

I have SIDI T-1 Shoes with the yellow/black(6deg float) cletes and ultegra pedals..

There is not any loosening feeling or disconnected feeling, just a clicking/popping feeling (when powering up a hill, or "pulling up" on the pedal...

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

How old are the cleats and pedals?

Do your shoes have a 2-bolt attachment for using an SPD style cleat built into the sole?

My wife has a pair of Sidi's, and her shoes have this metal piece built into the shoe. Other shoes I have seen usually have a flap in the footbed of the sole so that you can remove this metal piece if you do not need it. But her Sidi's don't have that. When she rides you can faintly here the metal piece moving around a bit.

the T-1 only has a 3 bolt configuration... I forgot to look at the clete lastnight, but I'll check the clete bolts tonight to make sure everything is snug...

My guess is that maybe one of the metal adjustment plates might not be seated all the way? Other than that... Have you adjusted you cleat release tension? Might be a little too light and need to tighten a hair?

Soem clarification: I just looked at the Sidi T1's on their website, and it looks like they have that metal plate in the foot sole for using an SPD style pedal.

My wife has shimano cleats that use the 3 bolts to atatch, but because nothing is attached to the metal piece for the SPD style cleat, it is free to move around a bit, giving that slight noise.

if you find that this metal piece is the culprit of the noise in your shoes, let me know if you figure out a way to remove it or silence it. I'm tempted to put a little glue on my wife's shoes to secure that piece in place.

I checked everything over on friday (I had a race on Sunday) and just gave everything a once over with the allen wrench...

the cletes were a bit loose, but that is the only thing I could find..

(no popping on sunday's race) like I could hear/feel it over my heartbeat anyway?!
