How far up does your achilles tendon go?

There has been a lot of talk that the Pose Method can cause the type of problem you're experiencing. I think the theory of the Pose is valid, but I don't think its for everyone.
I had a total rupture the the achilles tendon about 15 years ago (playing soccer), and it had to be reattached on the top --- the scar runs almost to the bottom of the large part of the calf.
There doesn't seem to be any question that the Pose Method places more stress on your calves and achilles --- you might want to alternate running styles for a while, and see if that helps

I'm having some slight discomfort 2 - 3 inches below the large part of my calf muscle. Is this the achilles tendon still, or is that down close to the ankle?
I have always had knee problems and sometimes shin splint problems with running, so decided to try the POSE method of running. I have been now for two or three weeks, and just recently I am noticing some discomfort 2 - 3 inches below my calf muscle.
It's nowhere near disabling me from running right now, but I don't want it to turn into something bad.
Anybody know what it could be?
PS: it's sort of on the inside-back section of my leg, not straight back.
