Speed during training
I can't be a candidate for answering this question because I think I hit 50+ stop lights during any ride of 40 miles or more. Ohhh the urban life of Southern California, what is one to do........well, I'm off to the beach.
Over pretty hilly terrain with a decent amount of stoplights on my roadbike I usually average about 18mph, give or take. That has translated into just over 20mph at the three tri's I have done on my road bike. Just got a tri bike, we'll see what that does to the ole average speed.

Similar to the post about swimming 100's pace. What is your average speed when you doing endurance training rides?
I average right around 20 mph over rolling hills almost exclusively in aero position, and very few traffic lights.
