I was thinking of cutting out the elastic/stretchy webbing that lies right under the three straps. I think I might lose some secureness without it but I could always just make sure the straps are good. As of right now its a hassle getting them on and off.

Any experience or suggestions in doing some at home modification to equipment? or is this a bad idea all together?
