Hard Bruise?
I'd go see a doc to be sure nothing is really wrong. I took a real had MTB spill last Jan. Couldnt put weight on my right leg for about a month without screaming. Couldnt run for 3, and the doc wanted me to wait longer. I'd say it's likely just a deep muscle bruise, but yeah, I'd go get it checked first.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
I've had several deep bruises like that, I ride motorcycles and it tends to happen when you fall off. They normally will come to the surface eventually and get ejected from the body like any foreign matter like asphalt etc. I've heard issues with clots though as well. I'd prob check w/ a doctor but from personal experience it normally just takes a month or two for it to come to the surface and heal completely.

Hello my friend:
Well, if its there for that long time....better to be checked than to be sorry later...
Probably...they might need to drain it...nothing big...nothing bad...just a simple drainage of the debri, and clothed material....probably there were some tissue fibers broken with a few vessels that kept spiling some blood over the course of days....
To be everybody calm, how about a quick check to the doc...
From this side for me would be hard to make any more accurate observation since would be necesary for me to see it..touch and feel it....
Hope this helps a little my friend...and let us know how your fiancee is doing...
Best regards from this side

My fiance took a hard spill on the bike about 3-4 weeks ago. She had pretty significant bruising all over her body. The bruise on her calf still hasn't completely gone away and it is hard to the touch...like a knot under the skin. It doesn't really hurt...it is just hard.
Is this something we need to be worried about (i.e., does she need to see a doctor)? I suggested that she might start gently massaging the area daily to help break it up. But it occured to me that it could be a blood clot. Now I'm worried about all the stories we've heard about blood clots breaking loose and making their way to the brain.
Anyone have something similiar happen?
Dr. Rios--any advice?
