Anybody else name their bike? or am I just in a different world entirely...

My bike is "Percy". From Thomas the train. Just popped into my head one day while riding.

Hummel. That is the last name of Ed Harris' character in "The Rock". A patriotic general and combat vet!

My MTB is named "Cabron", because the first day I clipped in I nearly broke my arm. Decided it was a HE.

My road bike is "Lucinda": a very tempermental but simply lovely female.

My friends, who decided that all bikes need a name, helped me decide on The Silver Bullet, and decided I can yell out 'tap the Rockies!' when I'm riding up a hill. The bike is a Silver specialized

My commuter bike is Kermit because he's green and it's not easy being green.

My road bikes are called Hobbes (Calvin & Hobbes) and Blue (because she's blue). :) I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

I have a road bike and a tri-bike. The road bike is a little heavier so I call it "The Hammer". The tri bike is "The Sickle."

"Blitz"

As I mentioned once before the Samurai named their swords, believing they were an extension of their souls. Maybe we are modern worriors fighting against ourselves and the clock.

My road bike doesn't have a name but my MTB does have one.

Since she's a KONA I have come up with a name for a pun: Barbara (which goes for the feminine of Barbarian in portuguese). Somewhat like Kona, the Barbarian (but in the feminine form).

Yes, I am silly. :P

Road bike is "Bessy." Named after all the small cars my Dad had when I was growing up. (Austin A40,Nash Metropolitan) Which, of course, were named after one of our cows.
The Mountain bike is "Traveler", Trav for short, after the famous horse of R.E.Lee.

While a Southerner in fact (below the Mason-Dixon line) I am a Northerner in sentiment...
I just use my MTB for long rides on trails (100 miles or more, sometimes) and to commute on.I Travel around on it alot...hence "Traveler" Besides a friend on my took "Renzai" ( The name of Sheridans horse.)

Funny story, I also have a silver specialized, and I also call my bike the Silver Bullet. I like to make train noises when I'm in a group ride and making my way to the front to break the wind.

My road bike is Ruby (because she's a Specialized Ruby and I liked the name)
and my tri bike is Speedy because he led me to my fastest time ever in a race at the Florida IM 70.3 this year at an average of 21 mph.
