What do Yall' Do??
Tapers can be difficult. The volume should be lessened. However, there should be some race pace intensity sessions.
I usually use up some energy doing prep work. Cleaning the bike (again). Making a packing list. Doing the packing - double checking everything that I already double checked. Then try to relax.

Pretty much what RV said. I dont really have a big problem with twitchiness, though. I somehow manage to keep myself relaxed. Just focus on the detail and review everything a few times. Watch a good inspirational movie. Save all that energy up and channel it on race morning.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I have my first "A" race this coming weekend. The 3-day D.A.T.T race. Due to that my coach has me doing less training to taper. I was wondering what yall' do with the extra energy and twitchy-ness that comes from less training before a race. I have done a bunch of Marathons but have never trained with such volume and now I am driving my friends and family nutz...and it is only Mon  Any suggestions for surviving the week.
