I was watching the Adidas Track Classic today on ESPN and they had to make 'emergency' broadcasts of Barry Bonds every time he was at bat. Sadly this happened at the end of the mens 800 I think and womens 1500. It also happened right at the beginning of the men's two mile but only cut off about 90 seconds that race.

Did anyone else watch this and find themselves annoyed by the fact that we had to watch Barry Bonds get intentionally walked during one of the few times a year that we can actually watch live track and field?

Lets just make sure thay put an asterisk by his name if he gets that 715th home run....

CRAP! I totally forgot that was on today! eh...i probably couldnt have watched it anyway bc Ive been stuck in the library all day studyin for a test.

But yea...that would make me pretty mad. I absolutly love to watch the races that are 800m and up. Long distance track races are the best! But anyway...i hope bonds never breaks the record....although I know it will happen sooner or later

Ya, I thought that a bit ridiculous. Don't think too many track and field fans watching were interested in barry bonds. Bad call on their part.

Why care about someone that is knowingly using artificial means to get a record. It is a farce.

I was also very pissed off, b/c of that arse hole bonds, I missed like 3 finishes. On the one AB where they were intentionally walking him, did they have to stay there for the entire AB? I don't think so. made me sooooo mad. I hate baseball, and especially bonds.

on a good note though. the 19 yr old kid that caught his record tying ball said that he was not going to give bonds the ball b/c he hates him. made me chuckle a bit.
