Clipless Pedals
you are going to want spd cleats/pedals.
what are the differences between Spd and any other type? Are SPD the "platform" shoe bottom, or the kind with the small metal cleat?
I am interested in the Specialized trivent shoe, and wonder if they would fit with a Look pedal.
Thanks.
The SPD road petal has the platform you speak of....
The SPD Mountain Bike pedal has the small metal clete you speak of...
USUALLY when someone on here says SPD - they are referring to the Road Pedal
I use the SPD Road (but all last year I used the SPD mountain pedal on my tri bike)

SPD-SL (SPD-R,an older version of the same basic thing) is the platform pedal.
Those shoes are mountain shoes that need and SPD-compatible pedal. I would go with either Time ATACs or Crank Bros Candys. I've ridden both. I find the ATAC to be more bombproof.

Most of the carbon soled road/ Tri shoes are drilled only for the 3 bolt Look/ SPD-SL platforms and are not compatible with the smaller SPD cleats.

yes, the Trivent shoes will work with Look pedals
Goof info everyone, thanks.

I just bought a pair of biking shoes and am not sure what type of clipless pedals would work with them (never had either biking shoes or clipless pedals), I'd like to make sure that whatever i buy will actually work. I'm most likly going to buy them off of ebay. You can find the picture of the bottom of the shoe here:
