Ok i do laps in the pool about every day and i always do a 800 freestyle and right after that i have a killer headache at first i thought it was dehydration but it keeps happening, could it just be my goggles too tight? So i do the 800 free then have to just do like kicking drills for like 10 minutes then i go back to swimming. Whats yalls info? i hope it wont be like this in 2 weeks with my triathlon. Thanks

Maybe cause swimming 800 free is so mind numbing-ly boring? ;)

Probably the goggles. Do you always swim the 800 straight through?
If you want to build speed, you should do a lot more of 100 repeats and even 50 repeats and use longer sets like 400/500's for pacing.

800 is slightly more than a warmup. Although when I was at my fastest for 100m I could only swim hard for 500m or I would pass out. Terrible headaches happened every day I was wondering what was a matter with me. I went to the doctor he found that I had mono.

Also, being in Austin and with the allergin levels lately, if you have allergies it could be connected to your sinuses in general.

It's probably your breathing. I get headaches when I don't concentrate on exhaling before I turn and try and suck in more air. Work on some breathing drills and make sure you exhale hard in the water before the roll to breathe again. Try working on breathing every three strokes, and on both sides if you don't already. If that doesn't work, try scuba gear??
