So I've got an 11 day holiday coming up at the end of the month(annual leave and couple of public holidays strung together) and I'm planning a big training week. Any suggestions on what I should/could do for the 11 days and how I should structure my workouts?
My longest bike so far is 120 km, usually around 90-100 km. Longest run is 17 km, usually 12-13 km.
Longest swim is 2000 metres, usually 1500 metres.
Just so you know, I'm building up for a 1/2 Ironman in September.
Cheers in advance :)

Sounds like a good opportunity to get in some longer brick workouts. The down time should give you plenty of recovery time. So, you can push the volume and still get plenty of rest.

There was an article here a couple weeks back on a heavy volume training week. http://www.trifuel.com/triathlon/triathlon-training/can-you-train-30hrs-per-week-and-survive-001341.php
There was also some discussion on it in a thread as well. Might want to do a search to find more info.

Get the Triathletes Training Bible, it has a section on "crash" weeks. Can be anywhere from 5 to 21 days of increased intensity training followed by a time of recovery. Was reading about it this morning, very interesting. Sounds like you may have the time to do one of these.

Hey "Stupid_O" -- lighten up on yourself ;)

Speed hurts; how fast do you want to go?

If you really want to go nuts with it, you can go big volume. 11 days might be hard to handle, but maybe break it up and do 2x4 day sessions. These are always bike focused, so the basis is to swim, bike anbd run everyday. Maybe swim 1500 every morning, than go for 3-4 hours on the bike and then maybe a 10k run. It doesn't have to be in transition style, but just all in one day. Maybe you could test yourself and increase your Long bike. Maybe give a go at 100 miles. If you do a BIG volume week, it's all easy pace. No intensity. Remember to eat well and PLAN recovery and sleep.
