coming out of the pool this am, i was unlocking my bike, headed to work. I was fumbling with my lock and let go of my bike and let it lean against me. i shifted my weight putting my lock in my bag and the bike fell over.

a glancing blow from the outside corner of a concrete block wall...now i've got a dent in my top tube..about 1/8" deep, about 1" across! Did I say "*%&*#@!!!!" ?

the frame is alum (Felt F70).

have i screwed my bike frame?
or have i just dented my my beautiful-not-yet-6-mos-old bike?

Heck no. I did a very similar thing. Except I took an old aerobar extension to it. A solid whack to the top tube (same bike as yours, same size dent) and she still rides great. You should be fine.

Mechanically and structurally it should be fine.
If you are in doubt e-mail Felt or stop by your LBS.
Otherwise,
Dents and scratches add a little character :D

Nothing to it, but to do it

I wasn't going to get to the LBS til later in the week. At least I can ride it meanwhile without freaking out (life safety wise, anyway!). Thanks, guys...
