Recovery after White Lake Half IM?

I did White Lake on Saturday too. I'm taking the whole week off despite the anxiety to want to go and workout. I would say just take it nice and easy. If you feel like exercising just relax while you are doing it and don't go for very long.

I'd say you are free to go back out and train, but keep it very light for the rest of the week . After the weekend see how you are feeling and go from there. had my 1st half earlier this year and was still sluggish the weekend after.....FWIW

Typically, I will do some good active recovery work the week after a HIM. I recover better doing that rather than passive recovery.

I have been doing Tris for the past 2 years and just finished my first Half, a step up for me, but to be honest I felt comfortable paced well and did a respectable 5:14. I sat around mostly the day after with some walking, rode a recovery ride yesterday but really do not know how to finish out the week. Of course I am anxious to get back out and start training regular again but know I need some good recovery from this effort - Any advice? :confused:
