This happened to me once.
althoug I bought them on the store and when I noticed 2 days later the damn things where expired for more than 2 months.
I couldn´t go back to the store because I was traveling to a race (my first race by the way).
I used them anyway but now I can tell you I think they didn´t worked as well as the fresh ones. I didn´t get much out of them (or maybe it was just my mind who knows).
I think you won´t die but you can..
1) Expect less response
2) Get stomach aches or something.
3) or maybe nothing and it will work for you.
Also....just as a comment when I switched from PowerBar to Accelerade I realy felt the difference. You should give them a try!

Just curious...
i bought a box of powerbars ..a year ago..(they were on sale:P..you know you're a triathlete when...)..
so they are expired now, but i tried one of them and it tasted completely normal..
When food is expired, does it necessarily have to taste bad?
Should i use them anyway? or throw them out?
