My goal is IMFL in 07. I'm in Iraq right now and getting in as much training as I can. I really wanna get a coach/trainer when I get back to help me prepare. I consider myself pretty smart on general fitness and nutrition, but the IM is unknown territiory for me.
My problem is that it seems that alot of the Coaching training stuff online is pretty cookie cutter and that you are paying for the trainer's name and reputation(and in many cases you work with one of his minions). I guess I'm looking for a little personel attention. I truely want someone to look at my training and ID weakneses and generate solutions. Who out there has used a trainer that was really good?

Thanks

Here are some important things to keep in mind.
1. Big names are expensive... I think to actually talk to guys Like Mark Allen will proboably run you 600 dollars.
2. Pick someone in your area, If you can... acutally interacting week to weeks is amazing. There are coaches everywhere.
3. Get someone blunt... this is a bit harder.... coaching pay the bills for many people. There are however many people out there who won't work with you if they feel your waisting your money and their time... htis is awsome... if i'm ever slacking \ I want someone to tell me straight out.. You are in the military to i'm sure you know what I mean. Being effective is not always being nice.

Also... alto of tri teams in local areas have access to coaches at a discount.... talk to people in local shops to see what they have.
Hope this helps....

I can't add anything to to Blake besides that I think M. Allen is actually more like $2/day. So something like $750 per year. Not like that really matters, though. It's only money..........
