Women - Your Opinion on Tri Briefs
I have a pair of Zoot tri shorts that I really like. They have a low rise and a shorter leg and they dry pretty quick. It's always hard to find women's tri clothing. I just order a couple of different sizes and styles on line and return what I don't like. It's a pain in the butt, but you kind of get an idea of your size and the styles you like for the next time you need to order stuff.
Good luck - Ant

I second the Zoots. I have a tri suit and a pair of the 6 inch length shorts. They're both pretty comfy. If you're between sizes (like I ALWAYS am) go with the larger size.
Hey Ant,
Could you possibly send me a link to where you got your shorts online? Also, are companies usually pretty good about taking stuff back if it's merely the wrong size, and not defective?
Thanks for the suggestions,
kuan.

you can buy the zoot merchandise directly from zoot...

Yeah, I've ordered online from Zoot. Other manufacturers like DeSoto also have websites and online stores. You can just google triathlon gear or clothing and get a whole bunch of hits on different suppliers. Also include your city in your search and you may find some dealers right in your area.

You can also do a search for "triathlon gear". You'll get a bunch of different sites, so you can look for something on sale.
I've ordered most of my stuff from TriZone. They've been pretty good about returns and answering questions I've asked by email.
I have a pair of TYR tri briefs that I like. Also, DeSoto makes low rise shorts that I also use sometimes. I usually get my stuff from all3sports.com or trisports.com
Hey,
Just wanted to say that I ordered the DeSoto Low-cut women's brief (for trainin') and the ZOOT brief (for racin') through Tri-Zone.com. I must have called at least 4 or 5 times in one hour with questions, and they were very patient and helpful.
My two cents ...
I love all DeSoto products for training and even sometimes racing. They have the most comfy tri shorts ever! TYR and Orca are my main racing apparel, and I love all three brands.
I don't like Zoot at all. I find them uncomfortable and they never fit me quite right. I particularly dislike their shorts.
Good luck and happy shopping!
I just bought a pair of Sugoi tri shorts. They have a great fit - low rise, a short inseam and a thin chamois. I haven't tried them yet - I'll let you now how they work out.

I would like to buy a pair of padded tri briefs but I can't seem to find a store around me where I can try them on. I'm wondering if any women out there have an opinion (good or bad) on the different brands (TYR, Speedo, DeSoto, Zoot, Craft, etc...)
I'm looking for something that will dry quickly, with enough padding to be comfortable, but not so much that I'm running or biking with a soggy pad! Also, I have a short torso, and was wondering if there are any shorts out there with a lower cut, so I'm not wearing briefs that come up to my ribs!
Thanks.
