If I were in the market for new flats, that is exactly the shoe i would get. I guess it's a young guy taste kinda thing. I think they're rad. I say do it.
THAT'S EXACTLY MY POINT!!!!!!
How are you going to stand out in a crowd of 3-800? Those bad boys... I guarntee you at least 10 people per race will ask you where you got them...
Loud is fun, it's something distracting to keep your mind off the pain at mile 20.
As for what makes them tri specific...
the have less lace loops than standard shoes which makes them slip on and off easily... they are almost exact copies of the Asics DS Trainer,,, which is a race flat with decent support for slight overpronators....
And if you think that's ugly... search for the Asics Gel Noosa Tri.... it's horrendous, but was only made limited for like 1 race...
strangely enough if you check out any UK tri mag, like 220 tri... they're on like half the triathletes in europe.
I LIKE"EM
Albeit a little pricey, I will emphasize my point and back yours up, WHY NOT stand out? Everyone at any given race is in great physical shape so you can't stand out for looking fit. You gotta do it some how....

Does anyone know if there is a place in the US I can get this shoe?
Can it be special ordered, or do I have to buy it from the UK and pay crazy prices for it? -THX
