Lance doing the NY Marathon
I would love to see him back in a Triathlon!!!
I guess we´ll be checking his running times next Nov. 5th.
Hyperactive Trifueler!!!! (I refuse to let the status go :p)
Ya, he is too competitive to just sit around.
It would be interesting to have him return to Tri's.

It'll be interesting to see his time. I think he'll train smart and hard for it so will put in a good time. If he does decide to go back to Triathlons I think he'd be competitive at most of the distances but would probably excel at the Iron due to the gap he could open up on the bike. 3 or 4 years ago I would have said he could train and win Kona. Now with more athletes putting down strong bike legs, I think it'd be tough for him to hold off a Faris, Reid, Brown on the run. That being said we'll see what his run looks like. Hopefully if he does do Kona he goes the qualifying route like Larsen did, and the the WTC doesn't just give him an exemption for the publicity.
I agree on the getting to qualify would be cooler...
He was a swimmer, and we know his bike would rock, so I'm also excited to see how the run goes for him. I think it's his first marathon...

Awesome would be to see him doing triathlons again.....
I do hope to see him in Nov. someplace at the NY Marathon....

Not as good, not as good...I was hoping to run with him in Chicago in October. I guess the scheduling didn't work out.
Lets see his first marathon time first before we start having him win at Kona or where ever the race may be.
And I'm definately with tribro on this. He has won the TDF, not qualified for Kona. Let him go the route everyone else has to, including becoming a pro triathlete if he goes that route.
And imagine him being an age grouper. Sure would be nice to have his wallet and be able to make your own schedule work wise...
Far more impressive when a single mom or dad who is also a working stiff qualifies but doesn't go because it's too expensive.
(As you can tell, I am clearly not smitten by his celebrity status.)

Like Anton, I am not smitten with Lance's celebrity, but I would like to see Lance take a shot at Ironmans for the simple reason that I think it would be good for the sport. It would certainly bring a lot of attention to it. And personally, I think he could be competitive.
I can't recall, wasn't Normann Stadler a pro cyclist as well?
Speed hurts; how fast do you want to go?
It would be fun to watch him, he's such a great athlete and competitor - agreed that he could really open it up on the bike leg of an iron man...
He has done so much for the cycling world.....I would love to see him do some tri's.......I bet that would add ALOT of people who try the sport
Great point Blu, it would be great to see it take off like that.

Just saw this story...interesting...would like to see him start triathlons again...curious how his bike split would look.
