Who is it that sells that comprehensive tri-newbie package?
I think Q Roo did this at one point. I think it was a promo for a particular point in time however, rather than a regularly avialable package.
You could check out the website however. I think it is rooworld.com.
trizilla.com had a Fuji Aloha, suit, shoes, etc for 1499.99 a little while back.
Gear West in Long Lake MN has a deal like that.

This is for my buddy who thinks he is interested in the sport. He was looking to get a bike from Bikesdirect (see my other post). I'm not down on those guys, but when you consider the low-grade steel frame and the LBS cost of assembly and fit and you may not come out that far ahead.
I recall seeing a cheaper, more comprehensive package with nytro back in the day. The GearWest looks pretty good, too.

Now, just so you know I really am his friend, my initial recommendation to him was to surf Craigslist and Ebay for a super deal on a bike he will use for years rather than a bike he will probably dump if he gets good - for the same price.
Nytro had it going for a while

I remember seeing ads for this whole package - bike, wetsuit, shoes, helmet, Everything for the new person getting into the sport.
I seem to recall it was Nytro but I don't see that on their site anymore. Anyone remember who this might be?
