114.4 miles and running
Welcome fellow, So Cal'er. :) What Ironman are you doing?
My blog: http://vollenda.trifuel.net/
Thanks! I'm doing Ironman USA (Lake Placid). I figure if I'm going in, I might as well do one of the hardest! ;)
Woooo southern CA! :)
Although as for the claim the IM USA is one of the hardest... I think each one is "one of the hardest" ;) Although I guess some have more hills, some have heat, etc. Probably "hardest" just comes down to what the racer has a harder time dealing with...

Hey J,
Welcome to trifuel. I might be up in Lake Placid to Volunteer this year. It will also give me a chance to check out the course.
Maybe I'll see you up there.
'Nothing to it, but to do it!'
welcome to the site many Ironmen/women here :)

Heh heh... yes, I do suppose that every Ironman is essentially the hardest, depending on who you are. Good point. And I suppose that I referred to IM USA as "one of the hardest" because there is a ton of climbing and, well, I'm really more of a fast flats rider.
Of course, what I really want to do is direct.
:D

Hi to all! It is an awesome thing to see so many people that have made a commitment to themselves and a great sport. I just finished my first sprint in Clermont Fl last weekend. I started in Jan and I am hooked. I look foward to talking with all of you.

Why hello there TriFuel crew. I just stumbled upon this site and am just plum giddy to be a new member. I've been racing triathlon on and off since 1992 but am training for my first Ironman now. Fun times! Rockon.
