Yoga?
Yea, I did yoga for a bit and it really helped out. The problem I ran into was that there just weren't enough hours in the day to add that to my training regimen. If you go to REI or similar, they have the mat, block, and dvd's reasonably priced. Enjoy.
Well I am naturally inflexible and I recently added yoga as a regular part of my training. I picked up the DVD - Yoga for Cyclists

It does do stretching, core and balance work. There are also other yoga DVDs done by triathletes - 'iron yoga' and 'yoga for endurance athletes'. But haven't tried those.

I've done yoga off and on and am looking for a new DVD as well. I currently have Rodney Yee's "Yoga Conditioning for Athletes." It's really good but I'm bored with it and want something a little shorter (~30 minutes, his is ~50). So thanks for the thread and tips!

The yoga for cyclists dvd has 2 - 30 min sessions on it.

I started doing yoga because of some lower back issues and it has helped a lot - all around. You'll start to find yourself doing the stretches on your own, before/after your workouts. Definitely give it a try.

there is a show on Oxygen called "Inhale!" it would is free if you have cable. just record a few and try it out before you spend any money on it.

Now that I'm taking a about a week off for recovery (Thank you to everyone who made me realize that I was killing myself!), I've been giving alot of thought to good, injury-free training. I was thinking about adding yoga to my training schedule. I don't do much stretching, though I am naturally flexible, and it seems like yoga provides alot of active recovery Would anyone recommend adding yoga into training? If you do recommend yoga are there any particular DVDs or types of yoga you'd suggest? I'm a student so I can't really afford an instructor.
Thanks
