Any suggestions on shoes for a heavier triathlere 240lbs+, slight pronator?

It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.

When it comes to shoes, the best bet is to go to a local running shop. One with a good reputation and talk to someone there. They should be able to best fit you in the correct shoes. Most likely a cushioning shoe with some support depending on how much you do pronate. They should watch you run and check out your foot strike before making recommendations.

I've found that shoes with gel cushioning systems (e.g. Asics) last longer than the air cushioning systems (e.g. Nike). Not quite sure of the science behind it, but quite a few people i know of and my local running shop recommend Asic shoes for us heavier runners.

But like Tribro said above - go to a specialised running shop and let them watch you run on a treadmill so they can match the best fitting shoe to your running style. Different brands cusion in different ways.

Like tribro suggested speak with someone at a local store, and see what they have to say. But since you asked for a recommendation, I like the Brooks Beast. I have used them for the past 3 years and I love them. I am also an over pronator, and both specialty running shoe stores I went to for fittings recommended these for my size, foot type, and running style.

First, when you say pronate, you do mean underpronate, correct? or overpronate? Let me preface this by saying that I am not a bigger runner, but i would second the brooks beast, or the Muzino's Renegade or Alchemy.
