Anaerobic Threshold
I would guess your HRmax is inappropriately set. How did you figure it out?

Karvonen's formula... It seems to work with cycling! It is 197... I wonder if the real one is 210, for example...

Ya, I would say it very well maybe. We've been through this a number of times on this forum. Do a search, but my guess would be the above. Just go out do the run test and subtract 10-11bm for the bike. Those formulas are really sketchy as you get fitter. The only way to REALLY get HRmax is all out running as we have discussed. Good Luck.

Guys, It seems like I'm having a problem with thresholds...
I came back from shin splints and just did my first run today after recovering. So I began to run and below 75% HR max was WAY TOO EASY. People were WALKING past me (I was RUNNING and STILL THEY COULD WALK FASTER THAN MY RUNNING).
So I began to run faster and faster without breathing with my mouth. I've reached a point where I was running EASILY with 86% HR max...
Is my threshold too high? What am I doing wrong?
