Ah! Its good to be back. I just started getting back in shape and getting prepared for the season... I took off some major time "new job with long long hours, got married and bought a dog which needed a ton of attention" but am back and happy to be so. I missed the daily workouts and especially the feeling after getting in a hard core workout. But the thing that kept me away and that I am finding the hardest part is the lack of time for workouts. I'm usually at work from about 7am to about 7pm and am usually so tired by the time i get home i usually have enough time only to eat, shower and spend a few hours with my wife before going to sleep and living the dream the next day. I love my job, but I really want to be able to incorporate my daily workouts. Any advice from those workaholics out their that have their schedule and has been able to juggle everything.

Can't you exercise during lunch time?

...talk to yourwife, get some hours approved by her for trainiing and then is up to you. Best times for me are lunch time(3-4 miles run), streching and warming up 30 minutes before in my office and 30 minutes cooling off in my ofice. 1 hour evening at gym (stationary bike), or pool (more like 1 1/2 hours), Saturdaywake up early bike/run Sunday wake up early bike run. So by 11am im ready for the family.

good luck
congrats!

Hello my friend...
I am the kind of person who has a job that supposelly goes from 9am, untill 6pm...but as a doctor I have to be on call for few days a week, answer emergencies, and stuff like that...
The best thing you can do, try to weak up at least 2 1/2 hours before you have to be at work, so you have at least 1 hour in the morning to train....then lunch is always a good time for a nice run....for example...
Always talk to your wife, to set hours, times, and get her involved, t least a little, so you and your wife will share this great life style....
Saturday and Sunday....early start...for long trainning sessions...and then family time....
Takes a little effort at the beggining but then it feels just natural....
Congrats on your new life and wellcome back to the sport

Thanks Guys!!! Im planning on doing most of my daily workouts in the morning before and my wife is going to start jogging with me during my cool down after my nightly run. Weekends i think are my best bet for the longer workouts....

I'll keep you all posted on the progress!
