Triathlon Presentation
That's a nice thing. I bet it is an enormous motivational booster on people! Also, what trailer is that? What It Takes? I'm interested in that too.

You can find the trailer on Peter Reid's web site. It's awesome. I just can't seem to figure out how to get it downloaded so that I can play it during the presentation.
http://www.peterreid.com/index.htm It's in the middle of the page. I have watched it over and over and over.
I couldn't figure out how to save it either. Maybe email them if you haven't tried that already.

you can save the trailer by right clicking the mouse on the link to the trailer and it should allow you to "save as." It worked for me. It's a somewhat low res .wmv file that doesn't take up too much space.
That is cool you get to incorporate triathlon into your presentations.
When are they going to release this movie anyway?
Nothing to it, but to do it
"What it Takes" is entering its final post-production stage, and will be entering the film festival circuit this spring.
Alternately, if you can't save as through the link, you generally can watch it in browser, then pick it out of our cache...just look for one of the larger files and rename as necessary.

TriMedic... I've love to see copies of your presentations once they are ready, too :)
I have been having a little motivation trouble, can't seem to get consistent with my training. Doing these presenations really helped. I think I may have talked a few of the students into training for triathlon too. Thanks for all your help. I wasn't able to get the video clip to work on the systems they provided. So they missed out on the mother of all motivational videos.
Most of the presentation was me jabbering with key points on power point. They did figure I was a SME (subject matter expert) so apparently I have retained a lot of what I have learned over the years. I brought in all my gear for the presentation on equipment. And I brought in a few gels for the nutrition portion of the class. Most humans have never experienced nutrition in gel form. :) By the end of the three presentations they were able to put together a training program and had enough information to get started.
Most of them thought I needed a pshych eval, what's up with that??? :D
Hey guys...a littlebit..not too much off topic...but there is no way I can save the trailer....

I like to say I'm 'Ecletic'
When we are the majority we can call them 'Crazy'

I am in a Total Army Instructor Trainer Course this week and part of the course we have to give four presentations. We can choose one topic that will expand across all four presentations. I of course decided to do mine on preparing for a triathlon.
I am amazed at the knowledge I do have right now. I have researched so much and the knowledge is still there! :) I am enjoying the preparation and giving the presentations because the class is truly interested. They find it amazing. We went over the different race distances and they were just amazed that people complete the races. Right now they are having trouble wrapping their minds around the fact that they could do this themselves. I am hoping that by the end of the class they will have a better understanding about what it takes to complete a triathlon at any distance and that they can do it.
If anyone knows how I can download the What it Takes trailer please let me know. I can play it but when I put it in my presentation it doesn't work....I have to be online.
Thanks....I feel like a triathlon recruiter. :D
