Need help finding paths..
How far is it from where you are to Almeria?
Hallo blazindave,

my german isnt good enough.aber Ich verstehe. i cant write german at all lol. sorry
Even under 25, i need enough to get there,,,need enough to eat and need enough to get back. Right now i have 120-ish euros. Not enough for a trip to spain and back. thats why its best if i save it up and attempt by bike. Thanks for the tourist idea....for some reason i had not though of that.
Danke :p

I biked all over France and a little bit of Spain last summer and just road on the roads using a basic map of France and Spain As long as you stay off of the toll roads I think everything else is open to cyclists. You can also try Lonely Planet. They have a cycing book for France. They may also have something for Germany and Spain. I didn't find the LP cycling book very helpful though. It mostly has tours of areas and is not set up well for going from point A to point B which is why I just used a basic map and it worked great.
I met a couple from Switzerland who had biked down from using basic maps with no problems as well.
Good luck!

how about ryanair or germanwings. u can get tickets there for under 25 euros. just have to find someone to pick u up from the airport
yea ive tried that..but i dont think there is any way my friend could pick me up. She flew down to see me once and she had to pass by england. I dunno if i will bike down in the end. Assuming i biked 100km a day which wouldnt be a problem really, that would take me 17 days. I have a week off in a month..so this would mean id have to leave in a week, to get there on time. I dont know if i could miss school. The problem is not getting there..the problem is getting there in time...and without missing school.
ill see...i might just see her this summer instead :p
ok, thanks everyone for your help
much appreciated

This is probably the craziest thing i will ever do.
I live in Germany...right in the middle of it actually.
I want to go to the south of spain to see a friend. The city is called Almeria.
Now since i dont have the money for plane/train ticket, and my parents wont pay, I have decided to go by bike.
Does anyone know a website that has bike paths for every city and country?
I need to be able to do this by april 9th...i have a week off of school from 9th to 17th.
Also, tips on what to bring would help. Im going to buy a hunting knife (im a knife freak too ), a "container" that i can hold food in, clothes, a ton of water, money, passport, phone, helmet etc...
can anyone help me? i dont want to have to do this by bike, so im sellnig my guitar and hoping i can get the money before then to buy a ticket. If not...you only once right? :p
thanks
