Hello all,
is anybody doing the Strawberry Plains half marathon in knoxville tennessee this saturday? i'll be there running a very mellow run. not in shape but a bunch of my friends are doing it. i have not ran more than 6 miles in about five months and very slow at that. it'll be fun.

Good luck in it. I will be running the Vancouver First Half this Sunday, slow as well with some friends. Have a good time and let us know how things go.

I am running it. Definitely going to take it easy. I was off work yesterday due to sickness, feeling a bit better today. Plus, I am in base for the Derby Marathon, then onto base for IMFL.

Weather looks like it could make it fun! Good luck to you. Possibly will see you there.

hello all,
so, this past half marathon was GREAT. i started 'training' for it on monday and ran saturday. it was snowing most of the time and it was great. being from hawaii, running a race while snowing was awesome. i managed a 1:32.10 on four days of running. its not bad at all. my friends got 3rd, 7th and 9th.
forcefed, how was it for you? if you were looking around, i was the guy with the slight afro and wearing a blue tshirt that said "RUN FORREST RUN" on the front and "STOP FORREST STOP" on the back.
well, you all take care

Marzian,

Great job on the 1:32! That is quick considering the training and weather. My buddy and I didn't make it past Jelico Mountain. We were sliding all over the place and decided it would be best to turn around. Ended up getting stuck in the center median and had to be towed out.

We ended up running about 13.5 miles in Jelico. Wish we could have made the trip, I hear it is a beautiful course.

Again, great job!
