Amino Vital
Amino Vital - I workout with some people that really like it however I am not a big fan. The main reason I don't like it is because of its sweeteners; fructose (hardest sugar to digest) and aspartame which is an artificial sweetener. It is also a little lower in total calories than gatorade and others per serving and if I am drinking something sweet I prefer the extra calories.
I haven't seen or tried their endurance product you mentioned.

I've used Amino Vital in the past. Didn't work that great for me. Also a bit pricey.
I also used Accelerade/Endurox, those are good - just really sweet.

I have used all that you have mentioned. I didn't feel the same kind of recovery with Amino vital than I have with other products. I like sport quest products myself. I have used the Amino vital endurance formula...there isn't a big change when compared to the original...they bump up the percentages of a couple amino acids that's about it.
CAcycling, which sports drink do you think is the healthiest? I am trying to eliminate sugar, but all of these have it. Is that okay?...or does it depend on what kind of sugar? Is there a way to get the replacement carbs without sugar? I'm really confused and need some help.

You probably need to asks a Nutritionis or someone who has done all the research. Hopefully, someone who knows will chime in.
I am not a nutritionist and all I am sure about is that fructose/corn syrup is the hardest to digest when you are working out and especially racing. You see fructose the most in soda, Power Aid and some other products. Glucose and Sucrose (table sugar) are better during training and racing. I mostly use Gatorade because of this.
There is also maltodextrin found in Hammer products which is supposedly pretty good I use a lot of Hammer stuff as well.

Hello Jeremy:
I have tried all those you mentioned while I was in the States...here in Ecuador is a little hard to find them or are too expensive...
Now...sugars are good for you...because the calories...now as CAcyclingFAN mentioned fructose can sit in your stomach like a dumbell and mess you up while racing or running.
Now every athlete is different from one another...now for example...Hammer product are really good...but my stomach does not tolerate very good those....now...Gatorade Endurance formula does wonders for me, particulary I like the fact that it has a good amount of Magnesium...now...besides sugars...is good that you take a good look on the other components like Sodium, Potasium, and so on....
And...experiment...and after some good and bads...you´ll find you right formula...just remember...always do it while trainning never during a race..

Has anyone out there used Amino Vital and what do you think of it compared to Accelerade or Endurox, or others? I got some free samples in my goodie bag last year and used them all. They also make an endurance formula. The problem is that I can't find any independent research to prove whether this is actually any better than the others on the market.
