Hey guys!!!
Finally after waiting, and trainning....It happened!!!! :)
I compete in my first Sprint Triathlon today!!!!!!!!
Awesome...fun...exciting....I really enjoyed...
It was a small local event, we didn´t even have champion chips...but hey!!! Finally it happened.
All that I had learned here really help me to achieve this.
Now I can´t wait till´ the next one.
Thanks to you all, for your advice and help

PD: Amazing thing is the human body...I didn´t know that during an event you can swallow so much water....yuk!!! :D

No kidding. I myself have never been addicted to anything as much as this sport.

Congrats on the first race dude! There's nothing that feels quite like it!

Santiago ~ Many many congratulations! Other than my wedding day, I've never felt as much joy as I did last August when I crossed the finish line of my first triathlon. I can feel your excitement from thousands of miles away! Here's to good health and many more happy years of racing!

Welcome to the family!

May your swims be free of kicks in the face, your rides free of flats, and your runs free of black toenails falling off.

Well guys after a loooonnngg day at the job, fighting a couple of hard cases...I finally got time to get my times from this past weekend race..MY RACE!!!
Swim:24:34
Bike:39:04
Run:22:06
Overall:1h:25min:44sec

I still feel some soreness here and there....I did get kicked a couple times  ..gosh!!!!..the swimming part was crazy, to find a nice lane...and well...I did kick and hit a couple of guys along the way too...hehehe...and a good amount of swallowed water as an extra souvenir :D

Guys!!! thanks again for sharing my joy...all the best wishes...and support. MUCHAS GRACIAS
Now as many of you already said: I AM TOTALLY ADDICTED
I am trainning harder...and happier.
This joy feels so pure, and good...that I can´t wait for the next one.
Now is gonna be till´ the next finish line

Wow man, that's a pretty good time for your first tri! Was the swim 700m? If so, just get some speed in the pool (practice practice practice) and you should be able to pull off some stellar times in the future.

Gosh I didn´t put the distances....I think after a looonng day yesterday I was kindda tired...
It was a 700mts swim---20km bike----5km run
I have to admit...the swim was hard....I need to spent more time in the pool

Now my next race here in home soil is gonna be the Coast Sprint Triathlon next month before I go back to Houston......
