 I did a five mile easy run yesterday. In the middle of the night I got a horrible pain down the inside part of my leg. This was bad enough to wake me up. I took ibuprophen and that did the trick. I still have the pain now; a little dull pain but its there. I never had this happen before; have been sore plenty when I get up in the morning but never just laying there. Anybody have this happen?

Well, I'm not trying to be mean, but the leg is a rather large appendage and that is a pretty vague description. We need details! Yes, I get pain in my legs all the time after I run.

along the tibia bone from the middle down to the ankle; what's strange is that is a throbbing pain; usually I get soreness after a long run but when I am walking around

Shin splints. Need rest or new shoes OR cut down on mileage.

Or drink a cup of coffee and continue to train like you do.

That's a good advice, Blitz...

Can you help my training too? :D

exactly what BBB said. You can also try taping your leg. Tape from the outside of your leg to the inside. Basically go from the outside of your calf to the inside of your calf, going over the front of your leg. Do this is the shape of an "X" Do it in 2 spots, one near the top, one near the bottom. It might help if you have someone holf your leg as you tape (hold like a baseball bat to keep the muscle next to the bone). If you aren't shaved, then atleast shave this portion becasue taking the tape off will hurt like hell if you are hairy.

If you are getting shin splints you likely need to work on your running form. Pick up a copy of ChiRunning by Danny Dryer or try the very similar Evolution Running by Ken Mierke (who posts on these forums). The actual name of Ken's book is something like Run Training for Triathletes.

stretch to .... sit against the wall and pull your heel in ... then flex your foot up then gently pull a little more (repeat 10 times or so)... also sit on a chair and lay long hand towel under your feet and scrunch it up with your toes till you pull the whole thing. another one... lay on your side and do leg lifts with your foot pointed in and some with your foot pointed out.

these are things to do when your not inflamed and in pain.
