Greetings All!

I'm new to the trifuel forums, but have been lurking for a few weeks. I'm a 23 year-old chemist in Santa Barbara, CA. I have been a marathon runner over the past several years, but only recently got sucked into tri's. I started off small with sprint and olympic, but just recently had the insane idea that I should go big, and am signed up for my first half-IM; Oceanside coming up this March. Anyone else out there doing this one??? I'm excited to get to know more people in the community and eager to get some advice for this race.

Welcome - I will be doing Ralph’s in March. I believe that is the one you are talking about. I haven't run that race before but I took a look at the course profile and previous year's times and it looks about average in terms of difficulty.

Welcome to the site and Tri's.
HIM distances are a nice challenge - You'll have fun extending yourself a bit.
