I haven't used a fastskin suit, but I am much faster and use less energy over 3,800 meters in my wetsuit. The added bouyancy is a big advantage.
The time you would save with reduced drag in the fastskin suit may very well be lost changing in T1.

Has anyone used one of these speedo fastskin suits in a triathlon?
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
I seems like it would reduce drag but not provide the bouyancy of a neoprene wetsuit.
