Cycling shoes - Sizing Question

Exchange them. I have a pair of Sidis that fit a little larger, and i am definately stronger with my other shoes with the exact fit. The larger size will throw the arch placement off, and leave room for chafing.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

I would go to the store and try the next size down or maybe a different brand if sidi don't fit your foot well. The 1 or 2 seconds you might save in transition are not worth riding in shoes don't fit properly.

For Christmas, I received a new pair of speedplay pedals and Sidi T-1 Lorica shoes. If they were running shoes, I would return them since they're about half a size too big and would flop/chafe while running.
I have yet to put the pedals on my bike and go for a test ride, but am wondering how important a close fit is for bike shoes and any opinions on whether I should exchange them. They fit snugly around my front foot but are loose in back. On the one hand, I see it as a potential benefit in transitions since they'll slip on and off more quickly. But, will they rub and cause blisters the way running shoes would?
any thoughts appreciated!
