Got my rollers for Christmas - Got the hang of it (well sort of) - So far been riding on the hoods. Should I be trying to ride down in areo?
Seemed to destabilize when I tried to shift into that position.

Wait a few rides, then go for it. It IS a little less stable on the rollers, due to the narrow placement of your control center. The wider grip on the hood makes it easier to learn on. I went about 5 rides before starting to ride inaero for any period. I still do the bulk of my riding on the horns.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.

Ok thanks - does take some focus even up on the hoods.

Triguy has it right...Ride the hoods and try the drops if you have road bars with clip ons...Don't rush the aero on the rollers. Be patient. I sucked at the aero bars even after years of trying but improved greatly after riding on rollers.
