Santa gave me 40 km of car free road for my Christmas morning ride :D Thanks for keeping all those car driving people inside unrapping presents Santa - i love my stress-free Christmas morning rides.
Oh yeah, he also droped the book "Triathlon Training: Running" by Ken Mierke (the Evolution Running guy) in my Christmas stocking. Great reading thus far :)
Well, I got the best present of all I think. My wife cashed in some of the Airmiles we have been collecting for some time now. She really thinks I might be able to make it to Kona this year so,
I got an air ticket for Kona!! Yipee!
Looks like I will be going either way, or I CAN cancel if I want. She will come along too. Her words were that it is an extra incentive to work towards qualifying this year. I think I am in trouble now. Other than that I got a new hydration belt and a pair of Addidas SuperNova runners.

Santa was good. ;)
He delivered a lovely set of Carbon Stryke Aerobars and now my road bike looks a little more triathlete-ish. ;-) Especailly with the Aerodrink bottle fore and the aerorack aft. They'll provide much needed fluid while doing one of the four SPinerval DVDs that were under the tree as well.
Oh yeah, a nifty red and black pair of cycling socks that were evidently a throw-in with the aerobars. :D

Is the Lokelani DVD still available??
I would take up aerobics so I would have an excuse to watch it.

It was a limited edition I'm afraid beads. Her idea of aerobics is swimming with dolphins and running lava trails (see pic) but I'd chase her up volcano anyday.
I'll just ask her to slow down a little bit.

For me: New speedplay pedals and shoes, and a 2006 training diary. And a lot of tennis gear (my mother apparently didn't believe me when I told her I was taking a year off from tennis to focus on triathlons!)
For my husband: Ironman Stealth wetsuit, 2006 training diary, and a Team Discovery Champs Elysee maillot jaune.

The holiday was good to me too this year! Nothing as comparable as a ticket to Kona! ;p Close though...
But, I got some:
-DESCENTE Aero-x Bib cycling shorts. (If you havent seen these things, they are incredible. Good for the jewels!)
-Some warm tights.
-Enough money to buy my Kurt Kinetic Road machine! It comes right before the rains.
-Not to mention my favorite "non-tri" gift of the year; Canon Digital Rebel XT.
-Branden

That's lovely!! I am sooo envious!

Of course, I don't know if I'd have the nerve to wear it riding a bike around here, but..

Maybe it's inspiration for you to win! Like in the story of the Tortoise & the Hare. The turtle wins, remember? If only it worked that way in real life. There'd be hope for me yet. :p

They were very excited to give me my gifts and the cards they made from construction paper.
I wouldn't trade that for anything.
That feeling I get from them alone, is a gift I can carry with me.
It makes it possible for me to do anything. :D
Sick and wrong you two! :)
Sick and wrong you two! :)
I'm sorry I was getting all emotional.
I will try and get more superficial.
Got a jersey from the ITU World AG championships in Honolulu and a new pair of bib shorts. My daughter go a new bike and we're out cruisin' the streets again.
I got mine and you can't have it back!
JC
I must of been a good boy this year! I got...
A nice winter/rain cycling jacket
winter cycling jersey
Cycling gloves
additional liner for gloves for COLD commutes
wool cycling socks
face mask for my morning commutes
head cover for under my helmet
three new tubes (already used one:))
earband (for not-so-cold days)
I think Santa saw that I was commuting in sub-30 degree weather without any cycling specific winter gear and felt bad for me! At times I felt like the Michelin Man on a bike...with several layers on! I'm set now:D No complaints whatsoever!
So....what you're saying is....benching 1.5 times your body weight 10+ times is NOT good for triathletes?! OOOOOH! :D
Garmin 301 - very cool toy!
biking booties
gift card to Sears - so I can buy a second TV and not have to set up my trainer in the living room :)
