Hi all. Found the forum over the weekend and I look forward to spending some time with a cup of coffee looking it over. I am 45 and have participated in triathlons since 1989. I generally don’t do sprints but there was time I did the Hooters Man Tri just for the t-shirt. I enjoy Olympic distance races the most but truly like Half Irons as well. I have also dabbled in a couple of off road tri’s and adventure races.
Performance wise, I have come semi-close to placing in my age group but that was a race in Columbia SC where they were giving awards 5 deep and I almost got close enough to trip a guy in front of me. One day, (probably when I am the only one in my age group) I hope to place and bring home the hardware but before that I want to complete an IronMan.
To those just starting I say hang in there and don’t forget to enjoy yourself. To those finishing ahead of me keep the hammer down because I like a good chase.
Peace, cheers and be safe out there.

Hey Gregg - Welcome...
Have you registered for an IM for 2006?
There are a lot of us prepping for our first IM here.
RV,
I am considering a IM in Florida in 2006 but more likely it will be 2007. When the time comes or should I say when I get the time the race I will do first will be the the Great Floridian held in Clermont.
