Mooseman Half-Iron

Has anyone, or is anyone done/doing the Mooseman Half-Iron distance tri in NH in June?

I am thinking of signing up for it as a warm up for IMWI, just wondering what its supposed to be like. Heard great things about Timberman, but that is too close to my IM. I don't want to sign up until I hear good things, as the fee is kind of steep. $135US, whereas our TriNB half-iron distance is only $60 CDN.

I really want to do the Mooseman, but am not sure exactly when I am going to be able to get back to the States. I will definately be doing Timberman though.

I have not done the race but heard it is well managed and safe. BUTTTT- the race is the first week in June and the water will be very cold, guaranteed.

Did the Mooseman last year. Fun course, rolling hills, good crowd support. Water was chilly, but manageable with full wetsuit. I don't recommend sleeping in the bunks, I didn't sleep a wink!!

Any idea if it sells out, and if so when?

I've heard good things about that race... If I'm staying at school this summer or if I can find a place to crash for a week after I'm kicked out of my dorm if I'm not staying the summer and I can find transportation I'll be doing the oly...
