Anyone planning one coming down for any particular race... besides IMFL... I am starting to compile my schedule, have a bunch of open slots still, and wanna take my Trifuel pals into account!

I am the bike leg for a relay at St. Anthonys. I dunno if i will do Disney again, its a possibility, but I'm not jumping up and down over it. Miami Man HIM might wrap up my season.

how is the disney triathlon I have heard a lot of negative buzz about it... I didn't know disney did anything half way. Also what is a good site that lists florida races. I live in south georgia one hour north of valdosta so north to mid florida is ideal?

I couldnt get into st anthony's that thing sold out way too fast. I mean you had to be sitting at the computer as soon as it opened!!!

Active normally has all the races on it, but being so early season, its kinda empty right now. Floridasports.com has a search engine as well.

As for Disney...I wrote a race report on it, so if ya want details, theyre in there. In short, Disney DID do a lot of things halfassed, and I dont feel I got the value for the price of the race. That said, it was a great course, and would have been better without TIT there.

The owner of LBS was sitting on the PC all excited about registering a team for his shop, so he got us in, and I didnt have to worry bout it. It DID close fast, and always has. IMHO the only cool thing about St. anthonys is all the pros the usually show up and use it as warm up race.

My traveling with be for Olys and higher only, as my LBS team has a full local sprint schedule.

The florida triathlon calender is pretty good. http://www.trifind.com/FL/
The Boca Bop triathlon in Boca Grand in November is just a sprint, but it's a lovely place, and has been voted the best small triathlon in the country. If you want to just have fun, stay in the Gasparilla Inn, and do the Boca Bop.

website yes, event calendar for tris, no. The other two cover that well. They might post our sprint calendar when the season gets closer. Right now, nothing is even close to set other than St. Anthony's.

For a fun early season sprint with a great party after everyone should try the Mulletman Triathlon at the Florabama lounge on the Florida Alabama line. 1/3 swim 18 bike and 4 run. Flat and fast! The party afterwards is the reason most people do the tri. Great music, food and fun! April 22nd 2006.
