I kind of covet the Giro Atmos too. I think it looks sleek and cool.
I use a cheapie helmet right now that fits right so I can't justify the expense.
I went with the Atmos this past season. Prior to that had just a cheapie helmet. I think it was worth it. Now I did get a really good discount from my LBS. The lighter helmet is nice, and am really happy with the venting. Stays very cool compared to my previous helmets.

I think I'm gonna go with the Atmos. I might shop around for a 2005 at a discounted price now that the 2006 helmets came out.

Nashbar.com has the 2005 models for $20 off.
Same price for premium "Lone Star" edition (size small only).

That's still over 3X what I paid for my helmet, though.

great helmet - nice for tri's - bought one last spring - and once i did my anual head shave, it made me a ton faster - seriously, it's a good helmet for tri's.

Can anyone tell me if the Giro Atmos helmet is a good helmet for triathletes. From what I've read it seems like a good quality helmet. Not sure if there are better helmets out there that triathletes prefer for transition or aero reasons.
